New ERRC Ambulance - VOPS Project

On the 1st March 2021 the ERRC started a VOPS project with the aim of training some of its members in a Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support Provider (PHTLS) course accredited by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) which enhanced their skills and knowledge.

On the 1st March 2021 the ERRC started a VOPS project with the aim of training some of its members in a Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support Provider (PHTLS) course accredited by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) which enhanced their skills and knowledge. Also, the investment in an ambulance and first response equipment to be able to assist Gozo general hospital (GGH) Accident and Emergency Department to transport patients in a stable condition that require further care to hospital. With the implementation of the project the ERRC is providing a beneficial service to the local community and tourists that visit Gozo while reducing the strain on the health care system.

January 20th 2022 the ambulance arrived in Gozo at the ERRC HQ after shipping delays due to Covid 19.

This project has been funded through the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector on behalf of Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Sports and Voluntary Organisations within the Ministry for Education and Employment.
